Ballet

The National Ballet curriculum is designed to develop basic skills and classical ballet techniques. Our ballet classes follow the National Association of Teachers of Dancing (N.A.T.D) syllabus which provides a series of graded ballet work.

After passing the initial grades, students may progress to professional exams and medal tests. For children interested in a career in the performing arts, this can be the next step to attending performance arts college, university or professional contracts in the entertainment industry.

When pupils attain a satifactory standard of dance ability they may, if they wish take internationally reccognised dance examinations, many of which are held annually.

MODERN STAGE

In Modern Stage dance each grade will cover rhythm, use of arms, limbering, turns and kicks, dance movement and a dance routine.

As well as graded work, students have the opportunity to take the Rainbow Awards which are suitable for ages 4 and upwards. As they progress they will also be able to take part in senior medal tests and proffessional exams (N.A.T.D).
