IMiss Turner - Dance
Trained as a full time dance student at Arts Educational, Golden Lane Theatre, London.
Qualified in major dance exams in Ballet, Tap, Modern and National, as well as becoming an Associate of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance [I S T D ]. Performed on stage and TV including dancing in Stanley Baxter and Billy Connelly productions and worked for well known choreographers such as Nigel Lythgo and Arlene Phillips.
Miss Turner managed and choreographed her own dance groups which took her overseas including Italy, Bahrain and various states in the United Arab Emirates.
In her dancing career Miss Turner used her qualifications and experience to teach dance. This took her to Italy and to London to teach at The Vacani School of Dance, Knightsbridge, London and to perform in various shows. Through the ISTD a school requested her to teach the new dance syllabus to various teachers of dance in New Zealand so out came the well used passport again. As well as tutoring the teachers and students she choreographed shows while in New Zealand. On her return home she settled in North Wales and she conmmuted to Swansea to teach at the Swansea Grand Theatre. During the week she taught Ballet at a Gymnastics club becoming a Gymnastics coach. This took her down a different carreer path, Qualified Sports Therapist, Aerobics Instructor, Aqua Aerobics Instructor and a Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructor. Working under these titles Miss Turner still missed dance and has returned to her roots to create Encore School of Dance.
